Seattle cabbies complain that limos stealing their passengers.

SEATTLE -- Some taxi drivers in Seattle are complaining about limos that are usually hired for prearranged trips.

Some cabbies think the town cars are stealing their taxi business by offering rides at the same price.

The city and King County, which regulate taxis, have no jurisdiction over town cars, which are licensed by the state. The Port of Seattle regulates town cars that pick up fares at the airport and cruise ship terminals.

The county's taxi enforcement coordinator, Diana Toledo, says a large number of town car drivers failed to get a taxi license because they can't pass the English or geography tests and some have criminal histories.
