Ssangyong to Launch W100 Mil. Sedan Korea's first W100-million car is coming this spring (US$1=W933). Ssangyong Motor said Wednesday that it will price its 5,000-cc Chairman W full-size luxury sedan at W100 million. The car is scheduled to be released in March.
The most expensive Korean car to date is Hyundai Motor's 4,500-cc Equus limousine which costs some W90 million. Targeting the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 series, and Audi A8 as rivals, the Chairman W will come with a 7-speed automatic transmission, the same Harman Kardon entertainment system that comes in the super-luxury Maybach sedans, 10 air bags including one to protect the knees, and other high-tech safety and comfort features. |
