Luxury vehicles can make prom special and safe
Luxury vehicles have gone beyond the classic stretch limousine, according to Mark Parsons with Chariots of Hire. These days, stretch Escalades, Navigators, and Hummers rule the road to prom.

You can expect to pay around $85 per hour for the classic stretch that seats 8 people to $195 for the 16-passenger stretch Hummer. Many companies will require a minimum number of hours. Chariots of Hire says they require you to use their services a minimum of 5 hours on prom night. Expect to pay a 20 percent gratuity if it's not already included.

Your children won't be able to go hog wild in the luxury ride. Underage drinking is not allowed, and smoking is banned as well. While drivers aren't chaperones, they are expected to enforce those rules.

You can reach Chariots of Hire at 522-8108.
