Yes, Yet another way that Orlando and it's primary transportation provider, and we all know who that is... trying to wedge the small business owner out by trying to make Orlando like Tampa.
The "DISCUSSIONS" are taking place now, but you know that discussions mean nothing and it is only a matter of it taking place. What is the "it"? Making the "5" year rule on vehicles. Tampa has a rule that no vehicle can be older than 5 years. It effectively kills a lot of companies. If your vehicle passes the inspections and it looks good, what is the problem? You can make the argument that you can have a vehicle that is 3 years old with 300,000 miles on it and it may not be as safe as a vehicle that is 7 years old with 60,000 on it. Why and how can a city do this? What is the logic? What is next..............color? How can cities get away with this? Does anyone know? www.sirrandolphsclassictransportation.com www.orlandoonestoptransportation.com www.orlandolimos4u.com |
