Not being a member, but attending several important city meetings, airport meetings and vehicle for hire meetings, we as an independent operator have seen nothing from .....

Our Gola industry leaders in Orlando.  They basically have operated for several years and we have watched on the sidelines and have not witnessed any measureable progress from them at all.

It would seem that they actually are working against the independent operators by now suggesting to the city of Orlando that they should limit vehicles to 5 years or newer.

They also want to keep out any other SUV's other than what they call "LUXURY" vehicles.  When the independent drivers stated that the consumers are asking for a median SUV, they try to squash it.

Times are changing....gas is changing it for us...and smaller more fuel efficient and just as nice SUV's are the way of the future.

Orlando needs to get with the program.  Does anyone else out there have a median class of vehicle used in thier airports?
